Job Title: Corporate Finance Transactor Job
Job Location: Greater Accra
Job Description: Develop and execute a clear strategy leading to the positioning of the bank as the leading and preferred bank for Corporate Finance Solutions

Implement a working relationship with key competitors in the banking industry to capture corporate financing opportunities including syndications, project finance and other large ticket deals to enhance the Bank’s share of the corporate finance business wallet

Develop cross-marketing/needs fulfilment for existing clients, through segment-based sales plans to achieve revenue growth targets and maximum operating capabilities and profitability

Provide advisory services, tactics and recommendations to top corporate clients with a view to optimizing conversion and significant deposit opportunities

Identify and market non credit services opportunities by delivering custom solutions and partnering stakeholders in sales meetings, client and prospect calls

Pro-actively develop innovative, competitive, differentiated corporate finance products and execute marketing strategies to grow customer acquisition, retention and growth

Build and manage a sales pipeline of strategic deals and manage end to end deal conversion by assessing customer needs and recommend effective strategies, cost benefit and risk analysis, pricing negotiations in order to optimize profitability of product or service solutions

Formulate a clear and well articulated business development plan for dealing with corporate finance opportunities by watching industry trends and making the right moves at the right time

Ensure ALM/KYC and due diligence on corporate finance clients are in order and co-ordinate with respective Governance, Risk & Control personnel on related matters in local, regional and global regulations governing corporate institutions

Regularly develop corporate finance service benchmarks, understand key competitors drivers, strengths and weakness, market share/client base and the impact that these factors have on bank’s value propositions

Use financial risks and returns modelling to predict value propositions outcomes by gathering, analysing and interpreting complicated corporate numerical information

Ensure consistent high quality service delivery to customers in order to meet budget and KPI targets

Own all Income Surplus and Balance Sheet accountabilities relating to corporate finance and deliver profitable growth and financial objectives

Periodically evaluate the financial performance of corporate finance clients, assess the credit worthiness of such counterparties and make critical decisions on maintaining, enhancing or exiting relationships

Occasionally prepare studies on potential markets, bank peer analysis and also analysis of pricing differentials across markets in relation to the different corporate finance product offerings

Liaise with internal and external industry professionals including accountants, lawyers, financial experts and regulatory bodies to deepen knowledge and experience in corporate finance offerings

Support talent development and growth through training, coaching and mentoring junior officers within the Department

Co-operate with the team to achieve overall Departmental goals and carry out any other duties as assigned by Head of Corporate Banking Department
Qualification and Requirements:
Master of Business Administration in any related field

Ten years working experience in a similar role with at least five years in a senior management position

Considerable knowledge in key competitor finance products

Exceptional knowledge in customer service, sales and marketing that delivers results from set work plans as well as using internal delivery processes and standards to produce quality work outputs

Proficiency in computing and numerical skills especially hands on experience with MS Office applications including intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Excellent knowledge in corporate and other banking products, processes and regulations

Excellent analytical skills and ability to analyse complex requests from corporate institutions and requirements to arrive at balanced conclusions

Excellent corporate finance advisory skills and ability to package complex solutions
Excellent communication skills, i.e. writing, presenting and listening skills

Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and people management skills
