Government Urged To Prioritise Road Safety
Source : Classfm News    Date : Wednesday 15 Mar, 2017 | 11:40 GMT
The Bureau for Public Safety has called on government to make efforts towards curbing road accidents a priority.

The call follows the Charismatic Bishops Conference’s plea for government to deploy the army to help deal with the spate of armed robbery attacks in the country.

The bishops believe the rising robbery incidences could make Ghana a dangerous place to live.

But the Bureau for Public Safety said the bishops should rather call for safety on the country’s highways, with vehicular accidents becoming the leading threat to public safety in the country.
