Two police officers were shot on Thursday 1:20 pm by unidentified men who were on an unregistered motorbike and believed to be on a robbery mission.
One of the two police officers who were shot by some suspected robbers at Lapaz in Accra has died.
The other is on admission at the Police Hospital in Accra, the Ghana Police Service has confirmed.

The suspects are currently on the run.
“Unfortunately, one of the police personnel passed on while receiving treatment but the second is in a stable condition,” a press release signed by Accra Regional Police PRO Effia Tenge stated.
“To facilitate their movement, the two suspects abandoned their motorbike, snatched an unregistered Ash Hyundai Elantra saloon vehicle and sped off towards Mallam junction direction.”
The police have since launched a manhunt for the suspects.
