Cape Coast NPP parliamentary candidate escapes knife attack

The suspect
Barbara Isha-Ayisi Cape Coast North parliamentary candidate of the NPP was attacked by a knife-man at her home Saturday dawn, themarketghana.com/news confirmed.

However she escaped unhurt in the attack.

According to sources the attacker was immediately trapped by neighbors after an alarm was raised by other occupants of the house.

The attacker entered Isha-Ayisi’s house by scaling the walls had on him a knife and an iron rod and demanded access to the candidate's room after smashing the windscreen of her car.

The neighbors around attacked him and gave him a brutal beatens and he is currently receiving treatment at Ankaful hospital after he was handed over to the police

The incident comes on the back of the killing of the Abuakwa North Member of Parliament.

Joseph Boakye Daquah-Adu was murdered at his residence on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at his residence in Accra.

One person has been arrested in connection with the crime.
