Sir John Heads Forestry C’ssion

Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John, as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Forestry Commission.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John, as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Forestry Commission.

The Forestry Commission of Ghana is responsible for the regulation of utilisation of forest and wildlife resources, the conservation and management of those resources, and the coordination of policies related to them.

Sir John confirmed his appointment to Kumasi-based Hello FM on Monday March 13.

He was tipped to head the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority but Nana Akufo-Addo chose Paul Asare Ansah instead.

Sir John replaces Mr Samuel Afari Dartey.
